By the decree of Allah {swt} Brother Hasan Shah has been an integral part of the American-Muslim experience his entire life, being brought up and raised in New York City. His first major showcasing was at the infant stage of his life, as his mother taught Quran & Islamicic studies, he was too young to take part but quickly learned from his elder peer-groups. Soon after he was thrust into the trial Quran hifaz program at Flushing Muslim Center, NY. As his Islamic journey progressed, he attended various academic sessions within the Islamic Circle of North America [ICNA].
Alongside his keen understanding of Islam, brother Hasan is also a graduate from the University of Maryland with a concentration of law, thus equiping him with both elements of Deen & Dunya. All in all, he has always been attached to several Masajids and has built a deep connection with many Islamic leaders & has assisted various communities all across the US.
Fast forward to the past decade & today; Brother Hasan, is now a working professional as an IT Compliance Application Manager with a fortune 500 institution. With a huge amount of work experience and Islamic understanding in being a devout American-Muslim. He has lots to offer, lots to share, mentor & coach all walks of life.

For the past 10 years, he has been a vested Islamic Studies Weekend Learning Instructor & Mentor for the Muslim Teen (boys) at a leading Masjid in Baltimore. He has worked with 400+ students on not just deen but dunya matters as well. Hundreds of students have turned to him for advice behind the scenes and for personal reflections on how to move forward in life. By Allah’s mercy, his service and commitment is extraordinary, this day in age. His connection with the youth has been a tremendous support for the Muslim-Ummah.
For the past 7 years, he has been a vested Daeaah (Dawah Associate) for the ever-so-popular 1.877.Why.Islam program. This initiative is under the Islamic Circle of North America [ICNA] the largest body of connected Muslims in the US & Canada. His role as an associate is extremely challenging as he works with Non-Muslims in showcasing the beauty Islam. He has spoken with a large amount of people from all walks of life. These platforms are surely needed to educate Non-Muslims about the true teachings of Islam. His role as a hotline associate surely gives him the insight & vibe felt around the nation.
For the past 5 years, Ustadh Hasan has been a vested rotational Khateeb at the Harford County Detention Centers in providing Jummah services to the Muslim inmate population. His willingness, his efforts, and his devotion to this often-neglected community service is heavily needed to work with the fallen individuals of society. This is truly a remarkable area of service, and by Allah’s will, brother Hasan has surely flourished with his charm, his intellect, and his desire to help these troubled inmates instill hope and turn their lives to Allah. He is also a member of the ICNA-CSJ team, to promote social justice.
For the past 5 years, Brother Hasan has been an annual ICNA conference speaker under the banner of Dawah. He has spoken to layman Muslims at these large gatherings to educate the masses on the importance and role needed in the form of dawah. He has done a tremendous job in riling the Muslim base and has taught them the dos and don’ts about how to angle Islam in mainstream society.
For the past 4 years, Brother Hasan has worked closely with several Masjids in the Baltimore metropolitan area. He has taken lead roles as; media manager, marketing analyst, fundraising associate, and several other roles. He currently is an active member with the Harford Islamic Center [HIC], where he lends his hand in any efforts possible to establish this new House of Allah.
Overall, Ustadh Hasan Shah is heavily sought by the general public to lead Islamic programs, educate the youth, and work with adults to reestablish their connection with Allah [swt]. He is routinely giving lectures, speaking in local or national venues, and or helping a fellow Masjid with their business strategies. Brother Hasan is also the founder of Islam 200, he is a devoted husband and father of 3 children.
